So, it's finally here. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited this morning. Got my press pass, and a lot of funny looks from people. Probably wondering what a 15 year old press girl is doing wandering around I'm sure.
The shows I visited today were: Eun Jeong, Caroline Charles, KANGst and Alexandra Groover.
I took a couple of pictures…
Kangst
I really loved Alexandra Groover's all-black collection, and she used really interesting garment silhouettes. I also LOVED Eun Jeong, and would actually wear a lot of the pieces. Caroline Charles was also very good, and I loved the cheeky suspenders and paisley frock combination.
CELEBRITY SPOTTING: So, I saw the infamous Erin O'Connor, stood with Colin McDowell waiting to be seated, and bumped into Hilary Alexander in the press lounge. So, I pretty good day on the fashion celebrity front.
I spy with my little eye, some people begging with E and H... Erin O'Connor and Hilary Alexander, of course.
Which reminds me, what's a fashionista to do in between shows? Chill in the company of the fashion community of course! So, throughout LFW, I'm invited to attend a sort of fashion chill out area in the Mayfair Hotel (really beautiful hotel, loved it) We snacked on LFW cupcakes and cute canapés, and the service was excellent. From the concierge taking my bags, to the waitresses waiting on your every need… Oh, and the bathrooms are glorious!

The other place I "chilled" was the Press lounge. In the press lounge, press and buyers come to socialize rest, have light refreshments and catch up on emails (on the several new Macbooks) Which is where I bumped into Hilary Alexander (Daily Telegraph Fashion Editor). Well, I say bumped, more like saw her, followed her a little (not a stalker, honest!), and was about 10cm away from her on several occasions. Regardless, I went on to see her again five or so times, maybe she'll remember my face! (Doubt it.)
Got lots of compliments for my boots. My feet are sore from all the working, but I suppose that's what you get for wearing 4/5 inch heels to LFW. Regardless of the pain, I'm wearing them tomorrow. No pain, no gain – as they say.
OK, I CAN'T BREATHE. I JUST REMEMBERED. CAME HOME FROM FASHION WEEK. AS USUAL, ENVELOPES OF INVITATIONS. OPEN THE FIRST ONE, WHAT DO I SEE? AN INVITATION FROM THE LUELLA. AS IN, ONE OF MY FAVOURITE DESIGNERS. AS IN, LUELLA BARTLEY. EEEEEEK. I NEARLY CRIED, BUT WAS TOO BUSY SCREAMING.
*deep breath*
Apologies for my gush of excitement… on to more important matters, schedule for tomorrow!
UK & International Fashion Entrepreneur Awards, John Rocha, Topshop Unique, Horace, Sinha-Stanic, and maybe Peter Jensen. Good day? Yes.
I also got chatting to a girl from Central Saint Martin's, who was telling me all about life at CSM, and is doing the course I want to do! She was very sweet; maybe I'll see her again!
Anyway, it's very late, and I need to sleep. It's been a long day, and hard work, but it's worth it.
Until tomorrow, sweeties!

It did get me thinking about crochet garments though, and how I'd love to make something wearable one day. But it's a risky business, making crochet clothing. I'm aware that there's a veeeeeeeery fine line between stylish and naff, between nasty and nice, and I'm not sure I'm quite subtle enough to sit on the right side of that fine line.
